On February 12, 2012 Hot Rod City Restaurant in New Philadelphia, Ohio closed their doors. It was very sad to see this happen, because the Street Rodders down south here, don’t have that many places to go. There is of course Wink's in Barberton; but, really not too much in Canton or south of Canton. |

Of course it was too far to go. It was 3/4 of a mile off 77south-New Philadelphia exit. I don't know exactly what it takes to make people happy, this was the best place to go and actually feel like you were going back to the 50's & 60's. The decor of the place was fantastic and if you never were there, you have no idea what this place was all about. |

I have been a promoter for them ever since they opened. |

When somebody has the love for Street Rods like Greg did ,and opens a place like this - and business just don’t give you a chance - Any new restaurant that opens now is going to have their prices high, or go under. Greg tried to make everybody happy; but you can't satisfy everyone. So, he had enough and closed up. |
