Being long time Cruisers and belonging to a couple
clubs like the Western Reserve Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club
of America and the Lake Shore Cruisers of Ashtabula and going to a
host of Cruise~Ins and Car Shows in the Northeast Ohio and Northwest
Pennsylvania areas we have seen countless cars that excite us when
we first see them, but around three and a half years ago when we saw
this 1955 Chevy Belair Red and White Convertible it was love at first
sight! One of the things that we like most about it is that it is
all stock except for the Beautiful Red and White paint job on it.
Even that is done in the original color but it is in Base-coat Clear-coat.

The "55" renewed its life with us when
we found it sitting on the car lot at Greenwood Chevrolet in Austintown,
Ohio with a 265 cubic inch V-8 engine with dual exhaust and a Powerglide
automatic 2 speed transmission with an oil-bath air cleaner. The sound
system leaves a lot to be desired and the vinyl seats are done in
the same red and white as the body. To help the original ignition
out for better spark a Pertronix module has been added.

Our plans are to enjoy going for rides on nice days
and going to the many local shows and cruises with our many friends.
The car group is like a major sized family and are constantly meeting
new people to enjoy an afternoon or evening with. We even win an occasional
award or two with this 53 year old beauty. Thanks for reading the
