1953 Ford Pick Up
This rare 1953 Model F-100 Pick Up was the first year of production for the F-100; there were only 116,400 of this vehicle ever sold. This particular F-100 was bought sometime in the late 1980's from Past President Lyndon Baines Johnson ranch in Texas and was restored to its present pristine condition over the next four years.
It has logged a little over 24,000 miles since complete restoration, mainly going to Car Shows and Cruise In's. This show vehicle received 93 out of 100 points in the last show that it was entered in.
Besides having the rare 1st. year optional original radio that, by the way, still works, this special order F-100 is loaded with other options rare in a truck of its day! It has deluxe stainless cab and door trim, cigarette lighter, extra sound insulation, distinctive hood trim, head liner, 2 tone seats, a 239 cubic inch V-8 flathead kicking out a whopping 106 horsepower, dual sun visors, grill guard on chrome bumpers and a ultra-rare 3 speed with overdrive all gear synchronized transmission which is another 1st. year option.
