"Blue Tie"
1938 Chevy 2 Door
Sedan
Owner Richard Johns
This sweet ride was built in Sacramento, California by the Daniels
Hot Rod Shop. The restoration is going on twenty years old and
still looks like it was done yesterday! The paint used is Acrylic
Enamel and the color is Balboa Blue. Some of the finer points
of this fine ride are Steel Smoothie Running Boards, Smoothie
Shortened Bumpers, a one piece windshield with all the glass tinted,
and cool leather interior which is kept even cooler by the air
conditioning! The dashboard is finely appointed with all engine
information right in front of your eyes including the tachometer
mounted on top where Rich's eyes never have to leave the road
to check on his RPM's. The battery is located in a chrome holder
mounted in the trunk. The fuel resides in a stainless steel tank
until that sweet motor purrs to life. The power plant, if you
can see it through all of the glare from all of the polished chrome
that covers everything under the hood, is a 350 cubic inch Chevy
with a 350 Turbo behind it taking the power to the American Racing
Chrome Torque Thrust wheels while the stopping is done by disc
brakes on all four corners. After Rich gets this ride going down
the hi-way, he slips it into Cruise and listens to Side Exit Stainless
Steel Exhaust pipes. You can see this Beautiful Cruiser every
Tuesday night at Solon Commons.
